Big Canvasing day

Image
February 9th- Today was a huge canvasing day! We got to our internship office super early today about 6am in order to do as many walk packets as we can because our goal was to finish all of the rest of the walk packets by tomorrow! Thankfully today was not as cold, about 35 degrees so it was much more bearable. the most interesting aspect of canvasing today was that we went an knocked on a women's home and she let us in to talk to her about Biden's platform and tell us where she stands. She told us how herself is a Biden supporter but her wife is a Warren supporter so we had an amazing conversation about both candidates and shared our opinions that Biden is the best candidate for this job and represents what they stand for in so many ways. That to me was probably the best experience I have had thus far canvasing because they were so open to discussing with us rather than taking a pamphlet and saying thank you have a great day. By about 8pm we were pretty exhausted from walkin

T-minus 1 day till New Hampshire!

I am so excited for this amazing opportunity to intern for Presidential hopeful Joe Biden! I chose him based on his countless years of working for us, the middle class, women, children, students, workers and tackles the tough issues such as immigration, healthcare and college affordability. He is the candidate to rebuild our great nation with hope and dignity. We all deserve to live in a place where everyone is represented and fought for, Biden has been fighting for that longer than most. This course will introduce me to Presidential campaigns and all that goes into making it all happen. There will be late nights, sleepless nights but all of that is in order to fight for what you believe in to make the world a better place for all. Having worked on campaigns previously, I know some of the hard work that goes into them but nothing is quite like a Presidential campaign! Beyond honored for this opportunity and to represent USFSP! Go Bulls!
