T-minus 1 day till New Hampshire!

I am so excited for this amazing opportunity to intern for Presidential hopeful Joe Biden! I chose him based on his countless years of working for us, the middle class, women, children, students, workers and tackles the tough issues such as immigration, healthcare and college affordability. He is the candidate to rebuild our great nation with hope and dignity. We all deserve to live in a place where everyone is represented and fought for, Biden has been fighting for that longer than most. This course will introduce me to Presidential campaigns and all that goes into making it all happen. There will be late nights, sleepless nights but all of that is in order to fight for what you believe in to make the world a better place for all. Having worked on campaigns previously, I know some of the hard work that goes into them but nothing is quite like a Presidential campaign! Beyond honored for this opportunity and to represent USFSP! Go Bulls!

Visit to the NHDP

February 5th- By this post you are probably realizing just how many things we have done each day! packed like crazy and this isn't even half way! After the state house visit we went to the New Hampshire Democratic Party office which Ray Buckley the party chair himself walked us through the office and talked to us about the primary process and answered all the questions we had. He took a few jabs at the Republican party office which was an interesting experience. I had asked a question regarding why is there so much hate with the President in office today which is unlike nay other and how we can get back to a time where we can all be respectful rather than creating hate and division in the nation. Mr. Buckley was very thoughtful with his response which did not have an answer as no one truly knows but did explain where the shift was and acknowledges it is a big divide which is why this election is so important for a majority of us. The worst night...visibility night...

February 7th- So tonight was absolutely an experience for the books. We were asked to do visibility for the democratic debate which of course we said yes thinking we would only be there for a couple of hours.. little did we know it would unfortunately turn into about 5 hours. The weather was literally freezing with sleet pouring down. I was not mentally or physically prepared for that. I had a fabric coat and red leather gloves on. As the rain is coming down it is going through my fabric jacket onto my body...I honestly thought after about one hour I would have some form of frost bite. I am not happy about the cold one bit. As I am holding the huge Biden sign, I notice red dropping down the sign...its my red gloves that are dripping the red color from the cold and the rain. Now the sign looks like there is blood on it so I was not too happy about that either. Then after about 3 hours in this cold our driver comes back and I am thinking finally we get to leave and go back to the warm ...
