Last day!

Will never forget.
Today is our last day on the campaign trail in NH. It is bittersweet. We woke up extremely early 5am, to head to our internship to get our last walk packet. We all went together this time to cherish the last canvasing day we would have together. We spoke with a lot of people this time and surprisingly there were many that did not know who they were to vote for. The responses we received were either they were voting for Biden or they are going to decide the second they see their ballot and vote. For me that was hard to hear as I was not sure what the thought process was when they see that ballot, what difference it will make at that time rather than a few days before. Either way we tried our hardest getting people to vote for Biden because now was the time.
One person put a huge plant in front of their door so people would not bother them. 

We then got picked up and drove all together with our campaign to the hotel where we had the election result party. Ireland and I got dressed and made up in the bathroom and had to put our stuff in the boiler room so we could look presentable. The room was packed with media and so many of Biden supporters as well as our amazing campaign staff. We all had some drinks and food and had the chance to finally relax a bit and share our experience thus far. Most of the team still did not know where they were going to next but I know we will keep in touch and see where they are off to. The room was filled with happiness as well as sadness because it was a closing of a chapter for many as well as myself. The team quickly became like family to us as well as our amazing driver Vicky who drive us everywhere we needed and always bought us coffee. It is truly humbling to witness how many meaningful relationships we were able to make in such a short time and this experience was unlike anything I have ever experienced or will again. The best part of the night was when Biden's sister spoke at the party and then Biden and Jill video conferenced in on the party! It was a truly amazing surprise which lifted everyones spirits.

If there is one thing we would get used to being on the campaign trail is an endless amount of pizza! First night we got to New Hampshire we went to a pizza place in Merrimack to go over the weeks itinerary and get the time to discuss about our expectations and ask any questions. I enjoyed this night because it was the one and only relaxed night we really had. we ate pizza, salad and thoroughly discussed with our groups about our excitement to start this campaign trail. Fair to say day 1 was successful, aside from relatively freezing.

February 3rd First day as an intern!

Very first day waking up to be driven to our internship placements. I was so excited walking up to the front office and knocking on the door, it felt like a whole new experience was just about to begin. We were introduced by the Biden campaign supervisor Milton and then met the rest of the team, Tiffany, Sal, and Carrie. The first thing I noticed at the office was a cardboard cutout of Biden which excited all of us so of course we took tons of pictures! They had Joe written out of balloons above the stage in the office and decorations throughout the building. It was one of the biggest field offices I have seen and extremely well decorated! Once our excitement subsided and we stopped taking an insane amount of pictures, we were given our first assignments, canvasing! usually I would be more excited about canvasing but it was about 30 degrees out and I do not deal well with the cold. We were driven to a neighborhood in Manch which while walking around with Ireland for a few minutes
